Dear
students,
The essay
topic for the final Language III exam on December 16th, 2015 will be
based on The Namesake by Jumpa Lahiri. You should focus on Chapter
6. Some possible topics are:
- Contrast the
Ratliffs’ and the Gangulis’ manner of living;
- Contrast Maxine
and Gogol;
- Contrast
Maxine’s and Gogol’s attitudes towards their parents;
Please read
the text very carefully and revise the notes on comparison and/or contrast.
Don´t forget to review the outline layout and the connectors you should use for
the different modes of development.
On Tuesday, December
15th, because I have to attend a meeting from 10 to 12, I will be
available for office hours from 9 to 10, and from 12 to 1 pm.
