Dear students,
The essay topic for the final Language III
exam on Wednesday, February 20th 2019 will be based on the
short story Eveline by James Joyce.
In your essay you should analyse Eveline´s
reasons for staying in Dublin. You will be allowed to have a copy of
the short story with you.
Please review our notes on cause/effect
analysis, outline layout, and the connectors you should use for the different
modes of development. You should also review our guidelines on introductory and
concluding paragraphs.
Remember that on Monday, February 18th,
and on Tuesday, February 19th we will not answer questions related to the essay
topic in office hours; we will not check your outlines or possible outlines for
possible theses statements.
If you have already enrolled and decide
not to take the exam, please send me an email through the blog or the virtual
platform.
