Essay Topic for Final Exam March 13th 2019
Dear students,
The essay topic for the final Language III
exam on Wednesday, March 13th 2019 will be based on the short
story Interpreter of Maladies by Jumpa Lahiri.
In your essay you should analyse reasons
for Mrs. Das’ unhappy marriage. You should focus on the conversation
Mina Das held with Mr. Kapasi when on their way back from the Sun Temple they
stopped to visit the hills at Udayagiri and Khandagiri.
Please, take into account that you will not be allowed to have a copy
of the text with you during the exam, so you should read the text very
carefully.
Please review our notes on cause/effect
analysis, outline layout, and the connectors you should use for the different
modes of development. You should also review our guidelines on introductory and
concluding paragraphs.
Remember that on Monday, March 11th,
and on Tuesday, March 12th we will not answer questions related to the essay
topic in office hours; we will not check your outlines or possible outlines for
possible theses statements.
