Dear students,

I am attaching the outline to the essay on Story of an Hour we worked on this past week. This outline should be the one you hand in next Wednesday (April 27^th) as part of your Assignment 2, which is a home assignment.

I am also attaching the first developmental paragraph of the essay; we all worked on it in class as well, on Wednesday, April 20^th and on Friday, April 22^nd.

What you should do is write the second developmental paragraph using the topic sentence we all agreed on together, which you must copy from the outline. It should be exactly like the sentence in the outline. Please, remember to write a concluding sentence to the paragraph.

You should also write a concluding sentence to the whole essay, which should be introduced by a connector (In conclution, To conclude, Summing up, etc.) and which should be in a separate paragraph. Remember that in the second semester you will be writing introductory and concluding paragraphs, but not during this semester.

Please, remember to leave space between your lines to allow for corrections.

When  you hand in this assignment, remember that the outline, because it is the plan to the essay, should precede the essay.
