Dear students,  

The essay topic for the final Language III exam on Wednesday, June 29^th, 2016 will be based on The Namesake by Jumpa Lahiri. You should focus mostly on Chapter 6. Some possible topics are:

a) Contrast Maxine’s and Gogol´s attitudes towards their parents

b) Contrat Maxine and Gogol

c) Contrast the Radcliffs' and the Gagulis' lifestyles

Please read the text very carefully and revise our notes on comparison and/or contrast. Don´t forget to review the outline layout and the connectors for the different modes of development. You should also review our guidelines on introductory and concluding paragraphs.
